3D Color Perspective is an original form of color display
devised by Toshiba. The images displayed by this technique incorporate three- dimensional
information. Newer imaging frames are displayed in lighter shades, which gradually darken
as the frame becomes older. If the transducer is moved toward the operator nearer
flow appears lighter, while more distant flow is given a darker display. This technique
facilitates the delineation of the three-dimesional courses and distribution of vessels,
and clarifying the positional and distance relation- ships between lesions and their blood
supply.
